Well folks, if you are, like myself and my close mates, somewhere on the Eastern Pacific Rim I don't need to tell you about the happenings of the past few weeks. It was to say the least a hell of a way to ring in the new year. One of my good friends here on the South Coast told me that if someone woke up from a coma and was put in Coastal Southern California they wouldn't be able to tell you what month it is. Very true statement that was, one I had never heard or thought before.

I wore my cord a handful of times in the past two weeks. In my area I like the chance to wear a cord because it means that you get to ride spots that are rather rare. At a couple of those spots dings even occur while wearing a leash. Sometimes a few day flat spell is necessary to repair both board and body.

The first whale sightings on their southern winter migration happened in the channel a couple of days ago headed for points South that I'm envious of. In the meantime I heard them whisper out in between blows that a run of  The Leash Ruined Surfing t-shirts and hats and even more stickers are on their way. Ill keep an ear out between the sets for more on that. Until next time stay footloose and leash free...
